Overview

Itinerary

Day 1: Phnom Penh – Kep

Leave the bustling city behind and head into Cambodia’s tranquil countryside, where lush rice paddies and winding rivers unfold. Along the way, savor a traditional Khmer meal before continuing south toward the coast. Arrive in a charming seaside town, where the gentle ocean breeze welcomes the first night by the shore.
Ride past charming family-run fruit farms before stopping at a hidden, crystal-clear lake. Ascend Bokor Mountain within the national park, where sweeping views stretch over the Gulf of Thailand. The day winds down back in Kampot, with delicious local cuisine and a lively evening to explore.
Journey through the Tatai Wildlife Sanctuary, winding deeper into the lush Cardamom Mountains beside the crystal-clear Tatai River. A scenic boat trip then leads to the stunning Tatai Waterfall, before unwinding at your peaceful riverside retreat.
A peaceful morning boat ride starts the day, before it’s back on the bikes for a scenic ride to Koh Kong—one of Cambodia’s wildest provinces, home to dense jungle and rare wildlife like clouded leopards and sun bears. The adventure continues into the Cardamoms where, tucked deep in the mountains, you’ll arrive at the remote village of Osoam nestled beside a serene lake.
Phnom Samkos Wildlife Sanctuary is one of Cambodia’s most rugged and biodiverse regions, and sits perfectly on route to Pramouy, the next destination near the Thai border, which features a bustling local market. The afternoon ride brings you to Pursat, where a comfortable hotel offers the perfect end to a day on the road.
Enjoy a visit to Kompong Luong Floating Village—one of the largest and most authentic floating communities on Tonle Sap Lake. It’s home to thousands of Vietnamese-Cambodians who live entirely on the water, with floating schools, shops, and even petrol stations drifting alongside homes.
Navigate through the rice fields and quiet paths surrounding the northern reaches of Tonle Sap, arriving in the bustling city of Siem Reap, Cambodia’s second-largest city—known for its vibrant cafés, restaurants, nightlife, and beautiful, lesser-known temples nearby.
Today is yours to dive into the wonders of Siem Reap and the sprawling Angkor Wat temple complex. This area is vast and full of hidden corners—temples, waterfalls, and lakes waiting to be discovered on your motorcycle, solo or with a guide. The choice is yours.
Leave the city behind and ride through traditional villages to Kampong Khleang, one of the largest and most authentic floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake. Follow the rural roads towards Kampong Thom—a historic province in central Cambodia, known for its rich Angkorian heritage, vibrant culture and home to impressive ancient temples.
As the adventure nears its end, bypass the city traffic and take the scenic river route back to Phnom Penh. Rolling in by early afternoon, take the chance to relax before heading out for a farewell meal at one of the many fantastic bars or restaurants the city has to offer.

Cambodia Loop FAQ

For our Cambodia tours, we use the Honda CRF250. With a lot of off-road riding through jungle trails, dirt roads, and remote villages, this bike is purpose-built for the terrain. It’s lightweight, reliable, and handles tough conditions with ease, making it the perfect choice for the kind of adventure Cambodia offers.

The best time to ride in Cambodia is between November and April, when the weather is dry and the trails are in great condition. Avoid the wet season (May to October), when heavy rains can flood roads and make off-road sections tricky.

Explore floating markets, ride the Bamboo Train, and traverse the Cardamom Mountains. Experience temple sunrises in Siem Reap and peaceful Tonle Sap floating villages—showcasing Cambodia’s culture and beauty.

Khmer is the official language of Cambodia, spoken by the majority of the population. It’s also used to describe the people, culture, and heritage of Cambodia, including its rich traditions, art, and history. Understanding a few Khmer words and customs can enhance your experience while touring the country.

Pack lightweight, breathable riding gear suitable for warm days and cooler mountain evenings. Don’t forget waterproof layers for unexpected rain, plus essentials like a helmet, gloves, and sturdy boots for off-road sections.
