This is the fastest way to travel to Danang, but not the most interesting one. There are lots of flights from Ha Noi to Da Nang and vice versa every day and it takes only around 1 hours and 20 minutes.
Ticket will be from 35 USD to 120 USD for 1 way ticket. You can purchase the ticket easily on the website of Vietnam Airlines, VietjetAir or Jestar. And you have many options for departure time. Vietnam Airlines; Vietjet Air; Jetstar and the newest budget airline Bamboo.
Airlines sometimes also offer promotion for this route when you can get very cheap tickets but you need some effort to hunt them down.
It will be a very scenic trip to travel by train, Danang to Hue is especially beautiful.
There are often 6 trains from Ha Noi to Da Nang and vice versa every day, it takes around 16 hours and 40 minutes. Train fee from 20 USD to 60 USD for 1 way ticket, depend on what kind of cabin you book. From the center of Ha Noi to Ha Noi railway station is around 2.5km, you can get a bus, taxi or motorbike to there.
From Ha Noi railway station, train will departure at 6:00am, 9:00am, 13:10pm, 19:30pm, 20:10, 22:00pm. Da Nang railway station located in the center of the city, you can walk to your hotel. From Da Nang Railway station, train will departure at 3:00am, 8:35am, 12:35pm, 14:15pm, 18:40, 22:55pm. Train number SE1, SE3, SE5, SE7, SE19, TN1. SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8, TN2.

Hanoi to Danang is about 820 km and it takes around 18 hours by bus. The fee is from 20 USD to 30 USD one way depend on which bus company you book ticket. And the ticket fee is much higher if you travel on holiday.
Travelling in a bus is one of the cheapest ways to reach Da Nang from Ha Noi but quite boring due to long journey. We recommend some tourist bus company as below:

This is the most interesting way to travel to Danang as you can enjoy scenic landscapes during you way. However, it is only for people who like challenging and would like to experience riding in Vietnam. You can book an off-road tour, rent a motorbike or do the trip yourself if you are an experienced driver and love exploring. Whatever you are thinking, contact us.
Hanoi – Danang route is a long and challenging trip so you should be well-prepared as well as your motorbike.
