Yes, each bike comes with a helmet, and we have a good selection for you to choose from.
Bear in mind, though, that these are locally made helmets: while they will offer some protection in the event of an accident, and enable you to ride legally, they’re not up to the same standards as the ones you might find back home.
Yes, many of the bikes we rent out for touring are equipped with luggage racks. Let us know if you need one!
Yes, we’ll be happy show you how your bike works, and take the time to help you get used to riding, free of charge. While this isn’t any substitute for formal training, we find most customers can acquire the skills needed to stay safe on the roads quite quickly.
Yes, we accept all major cards. If you decide to pay by card, though, please keep in mind:
- banks charge a fee of about 3-5% per transaction
- we are unable to ‘block’ a credit card—we have to charge it
- we can’t refund to a card—we can only refund in cash
- and we are credited in VND (Vietnamese Dong), so we will refund you in VND.
Yes, we accept payments by bank transfer. Additionally, if you have a UK bank account you can transfer funds to our UK account with no extra fees!
Yes, we require a deposit on all motorbike rentals. This varies depending on which rental package you choose.
For Tourist Rentals, we require a deposit of either $500 or your passport.
For One-Way Rentals, we require a deposit of $500. We don’t accept passports as deposits for One-Way Rentals because there’s no easy way to return your passport to you when you drop your motorcycle off in another city.
For Expat Rentals, all we require is one month’s rental fee.
Bear in mind that if you leave your passport with us as a deposit, it must be valid and contain the visa with which you entered Vietnam. Many of our customers prefer doing things this way and, so long as you keep a photocopy or a photo of it when you’re travelling, you’ll have no problem checking in to hotels.
No, you’re welcome to pay your deposit in cash, or by card or bank transfer.
If you do pay in cash, we even accept all major currencies (since we’re going to return it anyway when you return your motorcycle)!
We don’t require a deposit for online bookings, so you’re welcome just to leave the deposit with us when you pick up your bike!
Sure, our number’s (+84) 904 392 423. If you have any problems give us a call and we’ll do whatever we can to help, whether it be with directions, translations or negotiating prices.
If Vietnam is listed on your permit then, yes, it should be. But IDPs are a bit of a grey area here since some police officers seem not to accept them. In any case, foreigners are rarely stopped by traffic police here.
When you stop, TAKE THE KEYS OUT OF YOUR BIKE. Smile and be polite, and show but don’t hand over whatever documents they request. If you’re worried about anything, take out your phone and start recording: legitimate police shouldn’t have a problem with this.
A blue card is a registration document that shows who a bike is owned by, and serves as proof of ownership. If you’re riding one of our bikes and the police request one from you, just give us a call and we’ll let them know it’s one of ours.
