Itinerary

Day 1: Ha Giang - Lung Cu

After an overnight bus ride from Hanoi, we arrive in Ha Giang and enjoy breakfast at the hostel. We then head north on the scenic Happiness Road towards Bac Sum Pass, stopping for coffee and photos.

We continue to Heaven’s Gate for stunning views of Quan Ba and the Fairy Mountains, followed by a hike to Lung Khuy Cave. After lunch, we ride through Yen Minh Pine Forest, past Yen Minh town, and stop at Tham Ma Pass to admire the winding roads.

Next, we visit the Hmong King’s Palace and Xa Phin market, then head to Lung Cu Flag Tower, passing sunflower fields along the way. Our day ends in a Lo Lo village with a home-cooked meal and local ‘firewater’.

We start early with a noodle soup breakfast before visiting the local market in Ma Le. Next, we head to Dong Van, where we can explore the town’s market and take an optional trip to a scenic viewpoint along the China border. After a light lunch in Dong Van, we continue on the Happiness Road to the Ma Pi Leng Pass, stopping for coffee and stunning views, as well as a boat ride along the Nho Que River.

Finally, we head south to Meo Vac, take photos at the Km0 marker, and finish the day with a homestay in a Hmong village.

We now leave Meo Vac for Quan Ba, passing through the narrow, winding roads of small villages where we can stop to observe daily life. We visit the famous M Curve for photos, then explore the French Gate and French fort.

Continuing through Duong Thuong village and valley, we climb switchbacks to Lung Tam, where we witness local workers making beautiful brocade items at a weaving cooperative. The day ends with a homestay in a Dao village, where you can explore the local surroundings.

On our final day, we drive back through the stunning Lung Tam Valley, following the Mien River with beautiful views and tall waterfalls. We make a stop at the mini Ma Pi Leng Canyon for coffee before continuing to Ha Giang.

In Ha Giang, we visit Waterfall No. 6 for a swim and enjoy lunch with a local Tay family. We then return to the hotel to relax and prepare for the overnight bus ride back to Hanoi.

Absolutely! You’re welcome to mix and match all three modes of transport: Easy Rider, self-drive, and jeep. This flexibility allows everyone in your group to choose their preferred way of travelling—whether riding as a passenger, driving themselves, or enjoying the comfort of the jeep.

As standard, accommodation is in shared dorm-style rooms at authentic local homestays, offering a true taste of rural Vietnam. For an additional $15 per night per person, you can upgrade to a private room for more comfort and privacy. The homestays are carefully selected to give you an immersive experience and a feel for local life.

For our Easy Rider tours, we use a fleet of Honda Blade and Honda Winner motorcycles. The Honda Blade is a semi-automatic bike, while the Honda Winner is a manual. Both are reliable, well-suited for the rugged terrain, and provide an enjoyable ride through the stunning landscapes of Ha Giang.

Yes, you can self-drive as long as you have a valid home license and an International Driving Permit.

For riders on motorcycles, we provide the standard safety equipment: helmet, elbow and knee pads, raincoat, and rain cover for your luggage.

Yes, transport is included. We will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and take you to the bus for your overnight journey to Ha Giang. Once in Ha Giang, you’ll have some time to rest before the tour begins. At the end of the tour, we will take you back to Ha Giang for the overnight bus ride back to Hanoi.
